  1. Defender of Boston is a real time adventure/mystery/roleplaying game.
  2. You must have a VGA graphics card, a mouse and a hard drive to run.
  3. The game supports the sound blaster(tm) sound card.

  5. This is the 3 disk set of Defender of Boston version 1.1.
  6. It is for disk vendors shipping on 360k DSDD disks.
  7. It is also for BBS use so that users can download/upload DOB in
  8. three shorter files instead of one huge one.

  11. If your disk size is 360k DSDD 5.25 inch then:
  12. Disk one should contain:
  13.                            DOB111.EXE
  14.                            README.1ST
  15.                            INSTALL.EXE
  16.  
  17. Disk two should contain:   DOB112.EXE
  18.  
  19. Disk three should contain: DOB113.EXE

  21. If your disk size is 720k DSDD 3.5 inch then:
  22. Disk one should contain:
  23.                            DOB111.EXE
  24.                            README.1ST
  25.                            INSTALL.EXE

  27. Disk two should contain:   DOB112.EXE
  28.                            DOB113.EXE

  30. If your disk size is 1.2m DSHD 5.25 inch or 1.44m 3.5 inch then:

  32.                            DOB111.EXE
  33.                            README.1ST
  34.                            INSTALL.EXE
  35.                            DOB112.EXE
  36.                            DOB113.EXE

  39. To install Defender of Boston you can run INSTALL.
  40. INSTALL will copy all the files to one directory on your hard drive
  41. and decompress DOB111.EXE, DOB112.EXE and DOB113.EXE.
  42. Then you may run START to begin playing.

  44. If you are uploading DOB to a BBS, be sure to:
  45. PKZIP DOB111.ZIP DOB111.EXE README.1ST INSTALL.EXE
  46. This will compress and pack DOB111.EXE, README.1ST and INSTALL.EXE into
  47. one neat ZIP file, DOB111.ZIP.

  49. Then you can upload:    DOB111.ZIP
  50.                         DOB112.EXE
  51.                         DOB113.EXE

  53. Then you can keep DOB in three neat files.
